Operator results - 21/04/07

Google posts stellar results. Earnings were $1bn, up 69%, and record revenues of $3.7bn, +63%.

Batelco (Bahrain) reported its 1Q07 net profits reached $66m, up 7%, on revenues of $176m, up 26%. 2006 earnings were $237m, up 4.4%, while revenues grew 11% to $624m.

Mobistar (Belgium) said its 1Q07 revenues were €372m, up 2%, but ARPU had dropped by 1% to €38.2.

China Netcom announced 1Q07 revenues of $2.7bn, +0.2%.

China Mobile said 1Q07 net profit rose 22% to $2.2bn, up 22%, on revenues of $10bn, up 20%.

Skype reported 1Q07 revenues rising 119% to $77m, and 2006 revenues of $193m. By March, Skype had 196m customers, up 107%
