Sony Ericsson announced a re-organization plan with the layoff of some 2000 people, or 17% of its workforce.

Luca Maestri is joining NSN as CFO, while Michael Matthews is to join as head of Strategy and Business Development.

Vodafone announced changes to its management and organization: Michel Combes will join the company as CEO, Europe region. It will split its EMAPA region into two divisions, Central Europe and Africa division, and APAC division. Finally, Terry Kramer will become the Group Strategy and Business Improvement Director.

Cindy Christy, who leads the company’s Americas region is resigning from ALU.

TDC (Denmark) would cut 400 jobs on disappointing financials.
