The new Hype......?

In fact, it is not really new. For the past decade, many analysts forecast a strong increase in mobile data services. Around 2000, some predicted that MNO would have 25% of their revenues in data services in the next three years...... The situation is quite different today. Out of SMS, data services account for a small portion of their revenues and data services sales share increases slowly. So, we do not have to be impressed by high growth rate (about 50% in the US, but also elsewhere) in mobile data services, their amount is yet about 15% of total MNO sales in average. It will take some time before mobile data services are a main resource stream for MVNOs.
