Subscribers figures - 05/05/07

MTN (S. Africa) reports 44.3m (+11%) subscribers at end-1Q07, of which 39.2m in S. Africa.

Vodacom (S. Africa) had 28.2m customers at 31 Dec. 2006.

Free (France) announced it added 220k new broadband ADSL customers in the quarter to a total of 2.5m (25.6% market share in france).

Neuf Cegetel claims for 2.4m ADSL broadband customers in France, and will add 570k customers when the deal with Club-Internet is completed.

Telemig (Brazil) had 3.5m mobile users at the end of March, up 6.5%.

Reliance (India) had 29m subscribers at the end of March (but including WLL users).

Argentina' subscriber base increased 43% to 34m at the end of 1Q07.
