MetroPCS (USA) had almost 4m subscribers at the end of 2007.

Vietnam currently has 18.6m internet users (+22%), of which 1.3m are broadband.

Sprint Nextel ended 2007 with 53.8m subscribers, of which 35m (+11%) on its CDMA network, and 17.3m on iDEN (down 20%).

T-Mobile USA reports 28.7m mobile subscribers at the end of 2007, while T-Mobile Germany had 36m users (+14.5%), and T-Mobile UK reports 17.3m customers, up 2%.

Telefonica reports 228.6m (+12%) subscribers worldwide, of which 22.4 mobile users in Spain, 134m customers in Latam (fixed+ mobile),10.2m broadband clients and 1.7m pay-TV users. Telefonica Mexico reports 12.5m subscribers at the end of 2007.

Bouygues Telecom (France) had 9.3m (+6%) mobile subscribers at the end of 2007.

Senegal saw its mobile subscriber base rising to 4.1m at the end of 2007, with a penetration rate of 39%.

Ghana reports a mobile subscriber base of over 7m at the end of 2007.

Mobile-8 Telekom (Indonesia) ended 2007 with 3m mobile customers.

Brazil: almost 123m (+22%) cellphones in use at the end of January. The market is led by Vivo with 33.7m customers or a 27.5% market share, followed by TIM with 26% and Claro with almost 25%. Oi is fourth with 13.3%.

India: new record adds in January with 8.8m new mobile subscribers, boosting the subscriber base to 242.4m (including GSM, CDMA and WLL). Bharti Airtel had 57.4m subscribers; Rcom (Reliance) 42.6m; Vodafone Essar 41.1m, BSNL 38m, Tata Services 22.5m, Idea 22m.
