India: new record adds in January with 8.8m new mobile subscribers, boosting the subscriber base to 242.4m (including GSM, CDMA and WLL). Bharti Airtel had 57.4m subscribers; Rcom (Reliance) 42.6m; Vodafone Essar 41.1m, BSNL 38m, Tata Services 22.5m, Idea 22m.
