Subscriber figures - 25 May 2005

Hutchison 3G has 8.1m 3G subscribers, of which 1.7m gained in the first quarter.

Vodafone increased its proportionate subscriber base to 154.8m, up 12%. It expects to reach 10m 3G subscribers by March 06 from current 2.4m. It probably will overtake this year T-Mobile mobile subscriber base in Germany (currently at 27.5m) from its own figure of 27m.

Orascom doubled its subscriber base to 17,5m, up 99%.

Telemig Cellular (Brazil) currently has 2.8m mobile subscribers in the state of Minas Gerais.
