US mobile citizens and their mobile

 Interestingly, a majority (3/4) of mobile US citizens say they have used their cellphone in an emergency, and gained valuable help. Also interesting is that more than 40% of mobile owners said they make calls to fill free time and 44% said they make their calls during hours that do not count against their minutes in their basic calling plan. Mobile data usage has reached 50% adoption mark, with SMS as the leading application. The web is accessed by 22% of mobile users, content downloads are used by 11% of mobile consumers, and MMS lags with only 13%, but is improving since the beginning of the year.
