World: according to Exemus, the total number of mobile subscribers worldwide at the end of 2005 grew to 2.13 bn (+21%).

Pakistan Telecom has 5m mobile subscribers (Ufon) and 5m fixed line users.

Venezuela: 12.5m mobile subscribers, according to regulator Conatel, and 3.6m fixed line users.

True (Thailand) has more than 4.5m mobile users and 300k fixed broadband users (+100%).

ViVo (Brazil) had 30m mobile subscribers at the end of 2005.

Telefonica Moviles 94.4m customers worldwide at the end of 2005 (+27%).

Iusacell (Mexico) ended 2005 with 1.8m subscribers.

OTE (Greece) had 154k ADSL customers at the end of 2005.

Telefonica reported 153.5k customers at the end of 2005, of which 5m in high-speed Internet access services (2.7m in Spain and 2.1m in Latam),

UK had more than 10m broadband Internet connections at the end of 3Q05, of which 6.4m DSL connections. There were 62,5m mobile users, of which 4m are 3G at the end of 3Q05.

T-Online (Germany) had 5.1m DSL subscribers at the end of 2005.
