A few set of market information released this week:

• According to PayPal/ eBay, more than 100m accounts in 55 countries are using Paypal for e-commerce.

• The CDMA Group announced there were 15m CDMA2000 users in Caribbean and Latin America in Sept. 2005.

• According to Infonetics Research, the worldwide service provider router and switch revenue grew to $7.2bn in 2005 (up 35% on 2002), driven by robust core and edge router sales (about 73% of the total).

• According to 2006 TIA report, the telecom industry in US scaled up by 9% to $857bn during 2005, could reach $945bn in 2006 and $1.2bn in 2007.

• Dell'Oro found that Avaya has strengthened its global market leadership in Enterprise Telephony with 19% market share, 3 points ahead of the nearest competitor.

• The worldwide L2-L3 Ethernet switch market reached $15.3bn (+9%) in 2005, while the L4-L7 switch market grew 26% to $750m, according to Infonetics Research.

• Infonetics said that Huawei is controlling 26% of the VOIP softswitch market worldwide. Softswitch revenue for all vendors was up 6% at $321m in 4Q05. Worldwide VOIP equipment sales exceeded $2.5bn in 2005, up 50% over 2004.

• IDC announced that Siebel and SAP dominate the Western European market for CRM applications (worth $2.55bn in 2004). SAP is very strong in the manufacturing, transport, and utilities markets, while Siebel is strong in two largest markets: finance and communications.

• Dell'Oro indicates that sales of PBX IP lines increased 42% in 4Q05, while sales of TDM lines decreased 2%.
