  • According to Research and Markets, worldwide Telco TV subscribers could reach 32m by 2009.

  • Convergence Consulting Group predicts that US cable operators would capture 12% of the US residential voice market by the end of 2007 at the expense of telcos, while telcos could take only 2% of the TV market by then.

  • According to In-Stat, APAC region will account for 45% of WiMAX market by 2009 (worth about $2bn). The subscriber base will grow from over 80,000 in 2005 to over 3.8m by 2009. South Korea is estimated to contribute more than 40% of the regional WiMAX equipment revenue in 2009, followed by China with 34% and Japan with 17%.

  • Informa estimates the number of mobile subscribers worldwide to rise 20% to 1.9bn at the end of 2005 and cross the 2bn mark in 2006.

  • According to IDC, the worldwide fiber access equipment market will reach $1.9bn in 2009 at a 16.6% CAGR between 2004 and 2009.
