According to DDM-France, there were 150 VOD services currently launched in Europe. Almost 2/3 are offered via Internet, and 1/3 by IPTV over ADSL. 95% of those services are charged. France offers 20 VOD services, The Netherlands offer 19 services, the UK 13 and Germany 12.

According to IDC, mobile phone sales in Russia fell by 8% in 2006 to almost 30m units.

According to a new survey by J.D. Power and Associates, the UK mobile subscribers are talking less and texting more. The number of calls dropped 23% in 2006, while the number of SMS has soared by 44%. Pre-paid ARPU fell by 56%, and contract ARPU by 24.5%.

ComScore made a study about Second Life (virtual world). 1.3m people (+46% qoq) ran the software in March 07. 61% were in Europe, 16% in the US and 13% in APAC.

According to In-Stat, the total APAC broadband access services market would exceed 225m subscribers by 2011. FTTx would represent just below 10%of the APAC subscriber base.

According to the McClean report, Qualcom has moved up the top 20 semicondustor supplier ranking. It is 15th instead of 17.
