Asiainfo will deploy its operation support systems (BOSS) for some China Mobile' s TD-SCDMA trials.

ALU will supply a mobile TV solution to SIC TV (Portugal). It has reveived an UMTS/HSDPA contract from Globacom, a national operator in Nigeria. It would receive soon a $300-400m order from Reliance (India) to upgrade and expand its infrastructure in the country.

Nortel will supply an healthcare solution to the Hospital de Sao Sebastiao, Portugal.

Motorola was awarded a TETRA network for the Leipzig/Halle Airport(Germany).

Huawei and ZTE won a combined 25% share of China Mobile's GSM network upgrade contract worth $4.5bn, while Ericsson and Nokia won a 50% share, and ALU a 20%.
