TI to expand in Argentina?

Telecom Italia will have an opportunity in 2009 to take control of both Telecom Argentina and Telecom Personal (both in Argentina) if it exercices call option rights for control of Sofora Telecom, the holding company that controls Telecom Argentina and Personal, through a 68% stake in Nortel Inversora. France Telecom stake of 2% in Sofora would be an ideal target to avoid the other large shareholder with 48% in Sofora (Grupo Werthein) to think at a similar call oprion move in 2013. Given the good results of Telecom Argentina and Telecom Personal, it is a real opportunity for TI.
