New .mobi domain

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has created .mobi internet domain. A dedicated JV, mTLD Top Level Domain, formed by mobile operators and vendors, will offer the management of the extension domain. Hutchison Whampoa, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Telecom Italia Mobile, T-Mobile International, Telefonica Moviles, Vodafone, Microsoft, the GSM Association and Syniverse are part of the JV.
