European consumers upset

Publié le par Jean Arnal

European consumers' group BEUC claims that mobile roaming fees are too high and that recent much-publicized price reductions were a ''smokescreen'' to avoid EU regulatory price cap. It also said that current offers are very complex and difficult to use. BEUC recommends a price cap of 33 Euro cents a minute for calling home from abroad, almost a third of current price. The claim just comes as the European Commission tries to force down roaming fees in the EU, and threaten mobile operators to set regulatory price cap.
