Termination rates in the UK could continue

Current termination rate control in the UK has to expire in March 07. But Ofcom found that regulation remains necessary to protect consumers from high prices. It is why it has proposed new controls on wholesale mobile voice call termination charges (specifically from four main mobile operators: Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile and O2) to be applied until March 2011. It has also unveiled its intent to to carry out a review of the wholesale SMS (text message) termination market in 2007.
