3G in China

Publié le par Jean Arnal

3G in China: it is moving. MII said that the local 3G standard, TD-SCDMA, successfully passed tests, and could be launched for commercial use in late June as scheduled. TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 and W-CDMA have been put into the third phase of field testing, and results are expected to be announced this month. In parallel, MII will implement a special TD-SCDMA industrialization project. So, conditions are now good to roll out China’s 3G strategies as soon as possible. It is widely projected that the government will release 3G licenses later this year.
