Modeo plans to launch commercial DVB-H services in the US by next year, but will build a network in New York this year. It has contracted HTC to develop a DVB-H-capable phone. Modeo competes with MediaFlo of Qualcomm.

Verizon Wireless announced an alliance with Adobe Systems for using Flash-based applications for its customers; has introduced LG' s Style I that includes a caller-ID display, keypad, last-number redial, 3-way calling, call waiting and Bluetooth; and has also introduced LG' s The V for accessing location-based services. Verizon Wireless plans to deploy CDMA EV-DO Rev A as soon as the 3-Mbit/s kit is available from suppliers.

Yahoo expands its relation with RIM by offering Yahoo Go for Mobile to BlackBerry users.
