Zain Iraq will expand its coverage to all regions in Iraq by the end of this year, to boost its current 7.5m subscriber base in the country.

Zain S. Arabia will use S. Arabia Mobily' s network infrastructure for a few years. The deal also includes nationwide roaming and mutual assistance.

Noverca (Italy) will launch MVNO services using Telecom Italia' s network.

T-Mobile USA launches a $10/mo unlimited VOIP calling plans (+ the purchase of a $50 VOIP router) for its T-Mobile cellular subscriber base. The service is far below competition from VOIP providers. It also announced an unlimited voice, data and text-messaging plan to wireless subscribers for $100/mo.

Telefonica and America Movil will have to pay $700m to renew their licenses in Ecuador.

Telefonica O2 has displaced Vodafone as the mobile operator of the UK railways company Network Rail.

JazzTel (Spain) will launch MVNO service in Spain using Orange network.

Thailand would issue 3G mobile license in May.
