Nortel will supply optical transport products to upgrade China Customs' storage network infrastructure.  

 

Alcatel will expand Turk Telecom ADSL network with 600,000 additional ADSL lines. It gained an optical ethernet-based network order from 3 Swiss power groups (ATEL, BKW and EOS).

 

Huawei is expanding Bahrain-based Batelco internet network under a $55m plan. The first phase involves the deployment of 40,000 lines.

 

BigBand will deploy its platforms in Cablecom (Switzerland) network. It will also provide Atlas Interactive (India) with VoD/ IPTV solutions.

 

Ericsson is providing Maltacom (Malta) with an IP softswitch-based solution. 

 

Cisco is delivering multicast virtual private network (VPN) technology to NTT Com (Japan). It will also provide ONO (Spain) with routers and switch platforms to build a next-generation digital video transport network.

 

HP and Orca join forces to deliver IPTV services.

 

Lucent/ Juniper will provide Choice One Communications with upgrades for its IP network.

 

Motorola will provide Hungarian distributor Kabelkon with digital cable TV system solution for six regional cable operators.
