Motorola is building Mobily’s GSM/EDGE network in Saudi Arabia. It will also expand to a national coverage the Saudi Arabia PTC’s iDEN network under a new $30m contract ($10m already received in 2004). It has also sold its multi-vendor intelligent optimization service on operator Ukrainian Mobile Communications (UMC).

 

Huawei and Siemens have formed a $100m JV, called TD Tech, to develop products based on China's home-grown 3G TD-SCDMA standard.

 

Huawei has secured a $200m order from Philippines’ Digitel Mobile (Sun cellular) for network expansion (700 additional sites).

 

Alcatel wins $22m GSM upgrade contract from Jilin Mobile CC and and Shanxi Mobile CC, two subsidiaries of China Mobile.

 

Nokia will deliver a MMS solution to Saudi Arabia's ALJAWAL.

 

LogicaCGS has gained an order from Celcom (Malaysia) for an IN platform.
