Atrica garnered several carrier-class optical Ethernet European deals: with  Intellicom (Macedonia), with Makedonski Telekomunikacii, Macedonia's national telecom operator, with ITM Group in Germany, with German regional carrier htp, and with Trigon in Switzerland.

 

Marconi will supply its Access Hub and MSAN to German city-carrier NetCologne.

 

Huawei signed a reseller agreement with DT for its Quidway routers, and sold the router to German financial carrier IZB. It also sold a VOIP NGN infrastructure to QSC AG, a national telecom provider in Germany. AIS (Thailand) has tapped Huawei to supply 3G WCDMA equipment for its trial network.

 

Ericsson won an important contract with Sprint, for a large IMS project. Ericsson will provide equipment and be the integrator of six to eight other vendors gear (of which Lucent which claims the contract win in CeBIT!!). The project could be worth $3bn. Ericsson claimed it had 27 IMS deployment underway, but announced only three (Sprint, TIM and Teliasonera). Ericsson will also an Ethernet DSL solution for BayanTel in Philippines.

 

Alcatel will provide a 10G upgrade of the Sea-Me-We 3 submarine network.

 

Harris announced a contract with Umniah Mobile in Jordan to deploy a NG microwave digital radio system and cellular backhaul services. 

 

Lucent won PAETEC contract to deploy a VOIP solution in the US.

 

Tandberg TV will deliver a TV over DSL system or a leading European Telco under a €4m deal.

 

Calix will supply Pioneer Telephone (US) with its Calix 7 multiservice access platform to offer ADSL2+ and IPTV services.
