Samsung has inked an $ 800m contract with KDDI (Japan) for its CDMA2000 1X EV-DO network.

Hitachi won 3G telecom equipment order worth $ 960m from KDDI for its CDMA2000 1X EV-DO network.

Ericsson has received a $78m order to deploy Telstra’s 3G network over the next 5 years (as sole supplier).

Nortel will deliver a General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) solution to T-Mobile Austria.

Motorola announced a contract to deliver Push to Talk over Cellular equipment to Turkcell (same announce from Nokia).

NEC has won an outsourcing deal to provide services for the 2G and 3G mobile network operations of Hutchison Telecommunications (Hong Kong). NEC has therefore established a mobile network operation outsourcing company in Hong Kong and said it plans to expand the new company's business to 3G projects in China in the future. In addition, NEC will remain the sole supplier of the 3G UTRAN network equipment for Hutchison Telecom HK.

ZTE will build a national digital trunking communications system using CDMA mobile standards for Electcoms, Malaysia.

ZTE will also build a national CDMA network in Algeria.

Nextreaming will supply its well-known encoder to Bouygues’s  I-mode partners
