Nortel will supply BT with Centrex IP, in order to enhance its contact center services with voice over IP. It will deliver to Tiscali Italia an optical infrastructure across more than 300 Italian cities.

Cisco is providing Swisscom with Ethernet for business and triple play customers. It announced, in association with Prime, a major network convergence project for British Airways to improve communications for 14,000 BA people.

Tellabs has received additional orders from MCI for multiservice edge 8800 systems.

Alcatel is providing Iceland Telecom with IPTV gear. Alcatel will deliver its ISAM multiservice access hub. Thales will provide it IPTV middleware, called SmartVision TV. Alcatel also deployed a triple-play project in Russia for Sistema.

Alcatel/ Genesys and SLS will supply O2 with their workforce management solutions for monitoring the level of skills and knowledge across its 8,000 call center advisors.
