Cisco will provide Mobile Wireless Home Agent and aggregation routers to T-Mobile in Slovakia. It will also provide a business FMC voice solution to MTS (Russia).

Nokia will expand Thailand' s AIS GSM network under a $19m contract. It has also been selected to provide a 3G WCDMA network to Denmark' s Sonofon. It will also deploy HSDPA in Elisa (Finland) network. Warid Telecom (Bangladesh) has ordered base stations UltraSite. Nokia will also deliver GSM and W-CDMA 3G radio and core networks in the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey for C&W UK.

NEC has received a 40,000 mobile phone order from MTS (Russia). It will deploy HSDPA for 3 HK.

Ericsson has won Ukrainian URS contract of a mobile softswitch for its nationwide GMS network.

Nortel won an IMS-based, next-generation network (NGN) network from Sibirtelecom.

Huawei has been awarded an order for Quidway NE5000E and NE80E by China Unicom, in the frame of its CNGI second phase project.

Microsoft and HTC have received a 500,000 mobile handset order from the US Census Buro. Handsets will be equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0.

Nortel and Ericsson are selected to supply 3G HSDPA network to Bouygues Telecom (France).
