Ericsson has been selected by SunCom (USA) to provide its softswitch, IMS and UMA solutions to build SunCom' s NG core network. It will provide VIBO Telecom (Taiwan) with a new next-generation AXX 9300 optical metro network across Taiwan.

Nokia has won a contract with Telefonica Moviles Colombia for the supply of a GSM network.

Alcatel has been awarded a new GSM mobile network expansion and modernization by Paktel / Millicom International (Pakistan). The network will cover the four provinces and have 1400 sites.
