Ericsson has landed a contract from Movistar (Argentina) to expand its GSM and microwave network. It is upgrading Cingular Wireless' UMTS infrastructure in the Dallas/Fort Worth market with HSDPA access.
It signed $129m contracts from two China Mobile units in Guangdong and Guangzi to expand their GSM networks.

Lucent has completed the deployment of a CDMA2000 1X network for Macau Unicom, a subsidiary of China Unicom based in Macau.
