Arcor's ADSL subscriber base rose 200% to 510,000, and the number of ISDN customers grew by 83% to 712,000.

KDDI (Japan) reached about 20m mobile subscribers in its “au” unit.

DoCoMo posted 49.2m users in May, of which 12.9m in 3G FOMA.

Vodafone KK lost almost 40k users and had 15m subscribers at the end of May, of which 1m 3G users.

Vimpelcom's (Russia) subscriber base amounted to 33.2m, of which 29m in Russia.

Hutchison (HK) now has about 325,000 customers for its 3G network, and could reach 500k by the end of the year.

UMC (Ukraine) had 8.9m users as of June 1, up 7%.

Vmobile (Nigeria) had 2.8m users at the end of March in Nigeria.

Mobile subscriptions across Africa rose 47% to 76.5m in 2004.

Polkomtel (Poland) reached 7.4m subscribers at the end of March, up 28%.

MTN (South Africa) has a subscriber base of 14.3m in Africa, up 39%.

Vodacom (South Africa) reported 38% growth in subscribers to 15.5m in Africa.

Russia is believed to have 93.5m mobile subscribers as of May. Penetration rose to 64%. Largest mobile operators are MTS with 33m users, Vimpelcom with 32m, Megafon with 17.2m.

DTAC (Thailand) has 8m subscribers.

Telefonica has 40,000 IPTV subscribers to its Imagenio Broadband Service.

The number of DSL connections in Spain increased by 58% to 3.16m in May.

India: the total cumulative GSM subscriber base rose 3% to 43.4m in May 2005.Two markets (Dehli and Mumbai) account for about 20% of the total.
