Nortel announced that Gary Daichendt, president and chief operating officer, resigned. Bill Owens, vice chairman and chief executive officer, will assume these responsibilities. In addition, Gary Kunis, chief technology officer, will also leave Nortel.

Telstra (Australia) has appointed Solomon Trujillo, as chief executive, effective July 1, to replace Ziggy Switkowski.

Cisco named Paul Mountford, Senior Vice President, as president of new Emerging Markets unit; Chris Dedicoat, Senior Vice President, as president of European markets, and Robert Lloyd, Senior Vice President, as president of United States and Canada markets.
