A few set of market information released this week:

• According to Informa, fixed-mobile convergence services will generate $28bn in revenue by 2011. It estimates that there would be 92m subscribers to converged services by 2011, 3% of overall global subscriptions, and that dual mode handsets would represent 5% of global handset sales - or 47m units.

• According to OVUM-RHK, the optical networking market grew 17% in 2005 to reach $11bn.

• A Chinese government report said that domestic mobile phone brands in China are losing out heavily to foreign competitors. They now only own 30% of the national market, while Nokia, Motorola and Samsung have the lion's share.

• In-Stat forecasts over 400m broadband users by 2010, from current 200m.
