SFR announced the results of its mobile TV trial
SFR, Nokia and Canal+ unveiled the results of their first mobile TV trial in France. 500 SFR subscribers were using a Nokia 7710 handset equipped with a DVB-H module, so the trial was made with the DVB-H technology, and programs were broadcast. The result is quite encouraging with almost 70% of viewers saying they are ready to pay up to €7 per month for mobile TV. They were also pleased with the screen size and the programs (80%). On average, viewers saw mobile TV about 20 minutes per day, mainly at home (50%), then in transports (14%) or at work (12%). Peaks of viewing were in the morning (9-10 am), mid-day (1-2 pm) and in the evening (8-10 pm).
