Operator results 1 - 11/11/07
BT announced FY2Q revenues of €7.3bn, up 3%, with 37% in new wave revenues. EBITDA rose 2% to €2.1bn. FY1H revenues were €14.4bn, up 3%, and EBITDA rose 3% to €4bn.
Turkcell (Turkey) posts an increase of 44% in 3Q07 revenues to $1.7bn, 62% jump in EBITDA to $771m, and net income of $401m. ARPU rose 26% to $15.3.
Telekom Malaysia reports 7% increase in 9mo pre-tax profit to $725m, on revenues of $3.9bn, up 9%.
NTT said its FY1H consolidated operating profit fell 18% to $5bn, while its mobile unit DoCoMo reported a fall of 21% in operating profit to $3.6bn. Net profit fell 33% to $1.7bn on revenues down 1% to $46.1bn.
Telecom Italia reports flat 9mo revenues at €23.2bn, despite a 29% increase in Brazilian operations, but domestic sales (down 6%) account for 80% of its total revenues. EBITDA was down 4% to €9.4bn, and net profit was down 18% to €720m.
Telecom Argentina announced 9mo revenues of €1.4bn, up 24%, of which €891m in mobile, up 37%. Net income jumped 274% to €134m.
Chunghwa Telecom (Taiwan) said its 10-mo net profit was at $1.3bn, up 9%, on sales of $4.8bn, up 1.5%.
Telemig (Brazil) recorded 3Q07 net profit of $22m, up 8%, on revenues of $200m, up 12%. EBITDA reached $64m, up 23% and EBITDA margin rose to almost 35%.
TIM Brazil saw its 3Q07 net loss widen 30% to $70m, on revenues up 16% to $1.8bn. EBITDA was $315m, down 5%
