Operator results - 09/03/08

US Cellular reports 4Q07 net income of $29m (down 46%) on operating revenues of $1bn (+13%). Preview of annual results would be $460- $535 net income and $3.9bn- $4bn in revenues respectively.

Turkcell (Turkey) announced a 54% rise in 2007 net income to $1.4bn, on revenues of $6.3bn, up 35%. EBITDA rose 44% to $2.6bn.

Swisscom posted +29% in 2007 net income to €1.3bn.

Telecom Italia said its 2007 net profit fell 19% to €2.4bn, on revenues of €31bn (flat) and an EBITDA of €11.6bn. Globally, results are disappointing, as revenues fell by 1.3% proforma, and even 6% in Italy. EBITDA is down 10% also.

PCCW reported an increase of 20% in 2007 net earnings to $193m, on revenues down 7.5% to $3bn.
