Sprint Nextel' s results

Sprint Nextel' s results: It announced that pro forma consolidated revenue rose 8% to $11.2bn, with wireless accounting for 72% to $8.1bn (up 12%) and local revenues at $1.7bn (+5%) and long distance revenue falling 4% to $1.7bn. Sprint Nextel added 1.3m mobile subscribers to a total of 45.6m. It posted net earnings of $516m vs a loss of $1.9bn a year earlier.
