Bellsouth' s results

Bellsouth' s results: It reported a 2.3% increase in 3Q05 net profit, without Cingular impact, to $817m, while revenues were almost flat at $5.1bn. Cingular reported $8.7bn in revenues and a 56% jump in profit. Bellsouth' s normalized earnings were $845m. In the quarter, capex was $886m, with about 1/3 of that spent on broadband technologies. Bellsouth currently has 2.7m DSL subscribers.
