• According to NanoMarkets, 2006 would be the year for mobile fuel cells for mobile devices. It forecasts that the market could be worth $1.6bn in 2010 and $2.7bn in 2012.

• Mobile music downloads is to reach $1.8bn in Europe by 2010, according to research provider, Generator.

• According to the Department of Technology (DoT) and TNS Gallup survey, Scandinavian rate of VOIP usage is respectively 9% in Denmark, 12% in Norway, 11% in Sweden and 10%in Finland. The survey underscores that one in three Danes using VoIP have completely abandoned fixed landline services.

• According to In-Stat, growth in Free-on-Demand (FOD) services and content over the past year has significantly increased overall consumer awareness of and usage of Video-on-Demand (VOD). There were approximately 7.5m worldwide cable-based VOD users at the end of 2004. Total worldwide users are forecast to rise to almost 13m at the end of 2005, and ultimately reach 34m in 2009.
