• ð    The optical component market should grow to $ 2.4 bn by 2009, from current $ 1.5bn, according to Research and Markets.
• ð    According to Infonetics Research, worldwide NG voice equipment revenue rose 18% to $614m in 2Q05, while annual revenues should grow to $5.7bn by 2008.
• ð    Worldwide total enterprise telecom and datacom equipment revenue could reach $ 65bn in 2008 from $47bn in 2004, according to Infonetics Research.
• ð    According to IDC, the worldwide server market grew at 5.6% yoy to $12.2bn in 2Q05.
• ð    According to Heavy Reading, the global carrier Ethernet switch/routers (CESR) market will grow from about $158m in 2004 to $410m this year and nearly $1.5bn in 2008. Cisco leads the market with some 40%, followed by Riverstone with about 17% ahead of Alcatel with 16% and Atrica with 10%.
• ð    Ovum plans 63m 3G subscribers in Europe by the end of 2006, or one in six European mobile users.
