Mobile vendor orders - 27/8/05

Motorola got with O2 the order for the UK fallback system (NFS) for the existing Airwave public safety communications network. It will provide Nedjma, Wataniya Telecom's Algerian unit, a Push to Talk over Cellular (PoC) system.

Lucent received the order for upgrading Sky Link's CDMA450 network in Moscow.

Ericsson will supply the EDGE upgrade to BASE network in Belgium, under a $37m order.

Siemens got a GSM-R order from Indian Railways.

Nokia has won a GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks expansion contract worth $125m from Bharti Tele-Ventures.

ZTE will supply its DSL systems with IP-based DSLAM terminals to Telemar (Brazil).

Alcatel was chosen by Kuwait's State Ministry of Communications to supply a broadband fiber optic access network.
