Subscriber figures - 27/8/05

PHS users in China were almost 65m at the end of 2004. Now, China Telecom and China Netcom see 2.5m new PHS subscribers each month.

AIS (Thailand) subscriber base rose to 15.9m in July.

The CDMA Development Group (CDG) has unveiled the worldwide number of CDMA users: 270m. The CDMA subscriber base in NA passed the 100m-subscriber mark, APAC accounts for 116m and LATAM for 49m. 185.6m CDMA subscribers are using CDMA 2000 (3G technology).
