A few set of market information recently released:

• ð    Push to Talk services are currently provided by 33 networks, of which 15 in Europe, 11 in Asia and 5 in Americas and 2 in Middle East.
• ð    According to IDC, WiMAX equipment is still a small market with about $16m in 2004 and expected $ 124m in 2005.
• ð    Dell’Oro forecasts that the number of broadband users will grow to 350m in 2009 and drive the growth of the worldwide market for service provider routers to $ 5bn in 2009.
• ð    According to Informa, the global mobile market is forecast to pass 2bn subs this year and be approaching 3bn by the end of 2010.
• ð    Infonetics forecasts that the VPN services market will grow to $30bn by 2009.
• ð    The mobile infra equipment market should grow 5% to about $39bn this year, and growth will accelerate in 2006, driven by 3G networks.
• ð    According to Dittberner, 16m media gateway, softswitch and integrated VoIP ports were shipped during 2Q05.
• ð    7.8 million phones containing the Symbian OS were shipped in 2005.
• ð   Worldwide cellular phone revenues are forecast to reach $ 570bn according to Strategy Analytics, while the customer base could reach 1.7bn.
• ð    Informa expects 190m broadband users by the end of the year, and 440m by the end of 2010.
  
• In-Stat sees the home networking equipment market to jump from almost $9bn in 2004 to more than $21bn in 2009.
