ZTE has signed a GSM network contract with Pakistan telecom firm CMPak (an affiliate of China Mobile). It also signed an expansion CDMA network contract with Telkom Indonesia. It will provide low-cost handsets to Safaricom (Kenya).

Huawei won a contract from Egypt' s Mobinil for mobile softswitches.

NSN has received an order from TerraStar Networks to deploy its internet-HSPA service.

ALU (ABS in China) and Datang won a 50% share of China Netcom' s TD-SCDMA tender.

Ericsson signed a €1bn order with BSNL to provide over 13m GSM lines.

NSN will deliver 3G equipment to Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom under a contract valued at $85m.

ALU announced the supply of its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A (Rev. A) to Nex-Tech Wireless (USA).
