Etisalat (UAE) has reported a 36% increase to $300m in 2006 outside revenues. It has operations (outside UAE), in Saudi Arabia (Mobily), Sudan (Canar), Egypt (Etisalat Misr), Tanzania (Zantel), and Afghanistan, and has made invetments in Pakistan (PTLC) and West Africa (Atlantique Telecom).

Vimpelcom (Russia) posts 4Q06 net earnings of $198m, up 30%, on revenues of $ 1.5bn, up 59%.
