Samsung will supply WCDMA systems to Vibo (Taiwan). It is its first WCDMA win outside Korea.

Lucent got a $500m order from MetroPCS (USA) to provide 3G CDMA 2000 equipment for network expansion.

Siemens wins Maxis (Malaysia) order for billing systems and professional services. It also gains a contract with EADS- Airbus for the development of airborne GSM mobile communications in airplanes.

Centertel (Poland) has selected Nokia to provide its 3G network in Warsaw and Northern Poland.

Nokia has received TETRA terminals orders from South Korean operator T. On Telecom. It will provide Vodafone Sweden with push-to-talk (PTT) services.

Gemplus has renewed its multi-year supply agreement with Cingular Wireless for SIM cards.
