Ericsson is the sole supplier for new Finnet (Finland) 3G network. It will also expand its 2G network.

Nokia announced it will help Telefonica Moviles launching first consumer pilot of mobile TV services based on DVB-H technology in September this year. It also received a contract with O2 for the expansion of O2's GSM network in Germany, and will provide four mobile-service switching centre switchboards to Vietnam Vinaphone.

Matrix has signed a contract with Vodafone for the implementation of Internet & WAP content control technology to Vodafone companies.

Siemens will supply a 3G WCDMA network to Qatar Telecom (Qtel) under a $24m deal. It will also maintain and operate the network for a full year period. Siemens will expand Proximus (Belgium) mobile network with its Power Mobile Switching Center, or PowerMSC, and professional services. It will also build a GPRS network for Tunisiana (Orascom affiliate in Tunisia).

Motorola has announced the launch of Bravo, an iDEN-based mobile network in Saudi Arabia, operated by Kuwait-based Wataniya International.

Glenayre has provided it's Versera Video Mail application to South Africa's MTN as part of their 3G rollout.

Lucent has increased the capacity of Verizon Dominicana CDMA 2000 network to 1m subs.

Jabber has deployed its Extensible Communications Platform (Jabber XCP) in Orange France network to provide mobile presence and instant messaging (IM) services.
