According to InfoTech, IP convergence dominated global PBX line shipments for 3Q06 with 73% of the total $ 14bn shipment market (80% in the US and 70% elsewhere) while other systems (traditional PBX and key/hybrid systems) evenly split the remaining 27% shipment figures. Six vendors account for 80% of this IP telephony manufacturer revenue: Avaya, Siemens, Cisco, Alcatel, Nortel and NEC.
