Multimedia messaging demand

According to Circle Research/ GSMA, there is a strong appetite (more than 40% of respondents) for rich messaging services, such as MMS and mobile e-mail. First launched in 2002, MMS had a painful and slow takeoff, mainly due to the lack of interoperability agreements. The three main mobile-data preferred services are SMS (1), e-mail (2) and MMS (3). Mobile e-mail has become an increasingly popular service among business people in particular, and is clearly a must-have service for many people.
