  • LG and Nokia assessed the worldwide 3G handset market to be about 50m units in 2005, of which 22m in Europe.

  • Chinese 3G subscribers could reach 6.2m in 2006, 73m in 2008 and 200m in 2010, according to the Chinese Information Industry .

  • According to Pyramid Research, fixed-mobile convergence revenues are expected to reach $80bn in 2009, or 6% of total communications spend worldwide.
