Operator results - 02/11/06

America Movil reports 3Q06 net profit more than doubling to $1bn.

Telemar (Brazil) reported a 10% fall in 3Q06 net earnings to $126m, EBITDA down 11% to $723m and revenues of $2bn, up 2%. Its mobil unit, Oi, reported net loss of $21m, EBITDA of $44m and revenues of $456m.

CANTV posted 3Q06 net profits of $217m (+40%), on revenues of $ 812m, up 36%. EBITDA reached $257m, vs loss of $147m a year ago.

Kyivstar (Ukraine) announced 9-mo operating income of $562m, up 100%, on revenues of $1.2bn, up 60%. EBITDA increased 80% to $737m. ARPU was $8.7, down 14%. Telenor holds 56.5% in Kiyvstar.

Verizon Wireless reported $9.9bn in 3Q06 revenues, up 18%, of which service revenues reached $8.5m (+16.5%). ARPU grew almost 1% to $50.6. Customer churn came in at 1.2%. It currently has about 31m data customers, up 43%, and data services revenues amounted to $1.2m, up 100%.

KPN announced 3Q06 net profit was up 5% to €346m, while sales grew 4% to €3bn.

Telefonica O2 (Czech Rep.) reports a 34% net profit rise to $306m, on revenues of $2bn, up 0.6%.
