Powerline alliance - 5 June 2005

A new alliance is born. The Consumer Electronics Powerline Communications Alliance (CEPCA) is a not-for-profit industry organization, targeting co-existence between various high-speed, powerline communication (PLC) systems for use in the home environment. Surprise! All funding members are Japanese: Hitachi, Matsushita, Mitsubishi, Pioneer, Sanyo, Sony, Toshiba and Yamaha. CEPCA will pave the way for fast expansion of the PLC business.
