Alcatel has signed a global frame agreement with Vodafone to supply it with network equipment and services worldwide.

Lucent signed additional contracts for repair and remote technical support services, as part of an expansion agreement signed in May, with Vivo (Brazil). It also provided EVNTelecom (Vietnam) for its phase III CDMA450 network expansion project.

Gemalto will provide mobile SIM cards to Virgin Mobile.

Siemens has won the 2.5G €20m contract from MTC subsidiary MobiTel Sudan.

Nokia has provided Vodafone NZ with HSDPA upgrades.

Huawei has won a GSM core network expansion contract with Colombia Movil.

Pirelli Broadband (Italy) has sold dual-mode GSM/WiFi handsets to Arcor (Germany) and Free (France).
